About
At East High School, we’re proud of our diversity and believe it’s important for students to express their cultures in and outside of the classroom. Over 40 languages and countries are represented at East, making it one of the largest and most diverse schools in KC. We put a focus on increasing student learning through a 21st century lens. In order to prepare students for life beyond high school, we have specific college and career pathways for students to succeed. Plaza Comunitaria is a collaboration with The Consulate of Mexico in Kansas City and KCPS. It’s a free program that provides adult students who emigrated from Mexico with the opportunity to complete their primary and secondary education through an online learning program.
